About Dr. Louis Ignarro

Dr. Louis J. Ignarro has more than 40 years of experience as a research scientist, is Professor Emeritus of Molecular & Medical Pharmacology, at UCLA, and was honored with the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1998, along with Robert F. Dr. Ignarro has built a significant platform not only as a researcher, an active member of the National Academy of Sciences, and an Editor for multiple scientific journals, but also on social media, with more than 250K followers on Facebook alone, and commercially as a member of the Herbalife Nutrition Advisory Board (composed of leading experts in the areas of health and nutrition) for which he also developed the formulation of the Herbalife cardio line.

In addition to the Nobel Prize, Dr. Ignarro has been honored to receive a number of awards, including the 2008 Distinguished Scientist Award from the American Heart Association and the 2007 Medal of Merit from the International Academy of Cardiovascular Sciences. At UCLA, he has received 11 outstanding Golden Apple teacher awards voted by the medical students in the program.
